In the past few years, I've photographed young people in Alblasserdam, the village where I grew up. As the youngest child in a large Christian family, the search for identity has been the central theme in my work. Through photography, I explore the tension between security and the desire for freedom and self-expression.
Several photos from this project were published in 'Trouw, de verdieping' in 2025, alongside essays by Stevo Akkerman.
